The Primo Oval X-Large Rotisserie Kit is the rotisserie for the Primo Oval X-Large. Like the rest of the range it is made for one grill, so the X-Large is where it mounts and the only place it will.
More room over the fire means more choice about what goes on the spit, and it also means balance deserves more attention. A large, heavy load that sits off centre turns unevenly and cooks unevenly with it, so mount the roast through its middle, truss it tightly enough that nothing swings out as the meat relaxes, and check it turns smoothly by hand before the fire is anywhere near it. Weight distributed evenly around the spit is worth more than any adjustment you can make later.
With plenty of space to work with, two-zone thinking carries over from ordinary grilling. Keep the fire to one end and the load over the clear area, put a pan below to catch fat, and leave the lid alone; the meat is turning through the heat continuously and does not need your help.
Mounts on the Primo Oval X-Large ceramic charcoal grill. Pair it with the Primo oval rotisserie basket or the Primo 3-sided rotisserie basket for food that cannot be skewered, and run a Primo half drip pan for the Oval X-Large underneath.
