A Monolith ceramic grill offers endless culinary possibilities and a unique grilling experience by playing with fire. It is not only a particularly efficient charcoal grill, but also a stone oven, smoker, fire plate or teppanyaki grill. It handles cooking, baking, braising, smoking and grilling effortlessly and with maximum convenience.
The Monolith Grill Pro series 2.0 once again sets new standards in terms of ceramic grills. The new revised details offer even more convenience, durability and flexibility than before.
What’s new? The upgrades for the Monolith Junior
The Monolith Junior was not previously part of the Pro series, as the smallest Monolith does not have an SGS grill system due to its small dimensions. However, as it has been given some ingenious revisions with the new Pro Series 2.0, it has now also been given the designation Pro Series 2.0. The updates in detail:
- New lid hinge: the lid can be removed to use the grill with a fire plate!
- New gasket: Made of stainless steel and fiberglass for longer durability and easy cleaning
- New lid valve: The new revised cast iron valve now directs the smoke vertically and offers even more stability thanks to the slide system
- Guru-ready: All ceramic barbecues in the Pro Series 2.0 already have a permanently integrated BBQ Guru adapter. No more need to fit adapter plates
The Monolith Junior is the smallest of the Monolith ceramic barbecue series together with the Monolith Icon and is ideal for balconies, vacations and camping.

The selection of technical highlights is hard to beat. As the smallest ceramic barbecue in the series, it has a grill grate with a diameter of 33 cm. Nevertheless, it is a fully-fledged outdoor kitchen and masters all barbecue projects with flying colors.
How the Monolith Junior Pro series 2.0 red ceramic barbecue works
The Monolith Junior barbecue has a thick, closed ceramic casing. This efficiently stores the heat inside the cooking chamber. The stored heat is then transferred evenly from all sides to the food, resulting in a very even and particularly gentle cooking process.
The efficiency of this kamado barbecue is unsurpassed. With just 3 kg of charcoal, you can achieve a grilling time of up to 24 hours in the low temperature range. And without having to add charcoal. This efficiency is achieved thanks to an ingenious air draught system that allows you to easily regulate and maintain the temperatures inside the grill chamber between 70°C and up to 400°C.
This opens up a very wide temperature window in which you can prepare a wide variety of dishes. A deflector stone gives you the option of grilling with direct or indirect heat. This allows you to sear steaks directly over the embers or cook „low & slow“ dishes over indirect heat for hours.
The high efficiency of the Monolith Junior ceramic grill has the pleasant side effect that very little oxygen is consumed. This leads to low air movement inside the grill chamber. As a result, the food does not dry out, but remains wonderfully juicy.
The advantages of the Monolith Junior ceramic grill
The special feature of the Monolith Junior is the combination of the advantages of a classic charcoal grill and a stone oven. That’s why you can not only prepare traditional grilled dishes with this ceramic grill, but also bake delicious dishes. Homemade bread, delicious pizza or a hearty tarte flambée? No problem for the Monolith Junior.
The Monolith’s economy is not only reflected in its low fuel consumption. If not all the charcoal has been used up after grilling, you can simply close all the air regulators. A short time later, the embers will go out due to the lack of oxygen and you can use the charcoal again the next time you barbecue.
Compared to metal barbecues, the outside of the Monolith Junior does not heat up excessively due to the thick ceramic layer. This means that less heat is lost unused and also reduces the risk of burning on the outside.
But the Monolith Junior also offers a great function for lovers of smoky-flavored dishes. Thanks to an ingenious design consisting of a smoking rail and slide, you can simply place smoking chips or spices directly above the embers in the grill chamber without having to open the lid. This means that the cooking process is not interrupted unnecessarily.
