Beschreibung
Artisan’s 17″ single access door is the narrowest opening in the Artisan door lineup, made for the tight bays in a built-in grill island where a full double door will not fit — the gap beside a grill, the run under a side burner, or a slim end cabinet framed for a propane tank or a stack of tools. The door panel and frame are 304 stainless steel, and the polished handle is specified to match the chrome accents on Artisan Series gas grills, so a door added to an island later still reads as part of the same outdoor kitchen. It is sold in two versions, ARTP-17DL with a left hinge and ARTP-17DR with a right hinge, so the swing is chosen when the order is placed. A magnetic closure holds the door against the frame; there is no latch to operate.
Key Features
- 304 stainless steel construction — the grade Artisan specifies for components that live outdoors full time, chosen for long life and easy maintenance.
- Magnetic closure — the door pulls shut against the frame and stays closed without a separate latch or catch to operate.
- Left or right hinge — two model numbers, ARTP-17DL and ARTP-17DR, so the door can be ordered to swing away from the appliance or traffic path beside it.
- Polished handle — matched to the chrome accents used on Artisan Series gas grills so doors, drawers and grill read as one line.
- Built to pair with the Artisan Series — sized and finished to sit alongside other Artisan outdoor kitchen doors, drawers and combination units in the same island face.
- Made in the USA — manufactured in the United States.

ARTP-17DL Spec Sheet
Model and Installation Information
This listing covers the 17″ Artisan single access door in both hinge orientations: ARTP-17DL is hinged on the left, ARTP-17DR is hinged on the right. They are separate models ordered as separate options, not a single door you re-hang in the field, so decide the swing before ordering — think about which way the door needs to clear a neighboring appliance door, an island corner, or the spot where someone stands to use it.
Cutout dimensions for this door are not published in the product data on this page. Download the ARTP-17DL spec sheet linked above and confirm the required rough opening against your island drawings before the island is built or an existing opening is modified, or call us and we will confirm the figures with you. Do not size an opening from the 17″ nominal width alone, and do not reuse the cutout from an Artisan 26″ single door or from any of the double-door models — every width has its own opening.
Who This Model Is Best For
Choose this one when the island bay is genuinely narrow. At a 17″ nominal width it is the smallest single access door Artisan makes, so it suits a filler cabinet between a grill and a corner, a slim tank bay, or an end-of-run access panel where a 26″ single door or a 30″-plus double door would overrun the framing. It is an access door only — no drawer box and no trash bin behind it — so it is the right pick when you want to reach open storage space inside the island rather than sliding compartments.
Buying From Northwoods Grills
Northwoods Grills is a family-owned retailer, and we would rather talk through a cutout with you than have a door arrive that does not fit an island you have already poured. Call us at 843-212-7209 and we will confirm the hinge orientation, dimensions and compatibility with the rest of your build before you order. Shipping is free and we do not add credit card fees.
