This BBQ Island vent should be installed to allow for proper ventilation in an outdoor kitchen island. The stylish 3″ x 12″ vent is not only good looking, it is constructed from high quality stainless steel and built to last. It is recommend that for every 5 linear feet of an island one vent is installed. Natural gas powered kitchens should have the vents placed near the top of the island wall and propane powered kitchens should have the vents placed near the bottom of the island wall. This is because natural gas is lighter than air and propane is heavier than air.
